What blocks a sewer line
The usual causes are tree roots in old joints, grease that hardens on the pipe walls, and wipes and paper towels that don't break down. Older lines can also sag or crack, which makes them clog again.
If the line is damaged
A line that keeps clogging may be cracked, sagging or full of roots. See sewer and water line repair. We dig and excavate indoor sewer and water lines in the slab, but we don't do outside digging or excavation.
